This addition transforms a compact, one-story beach bungalow constrained on all sides by development into a vertical, two-story residence capable of sustaining the clients growing family. The project maximizes additional area on top of the original 750 sf footprint making the most of a tight budget. The folded roof-plane is form-fit to interior space and modulates between the scale of the older, single-story bungalows and the newer, larger developments of the surrounding neighborhood.
